Maintenance Handyman

As a Maintenance Handyman you will work as part of a small team, assisting with painting and decorating, odd jobs and carrying out general repairs throughout out the hotel and spa. The ability to manage preventative maintenance is key.,

• Working as part of a small team carrying out tasks assigned by our Maintenance Manager.
• Carry out maintenance to the highest standards, in an efficient and timely manner.
• Work harmlessly with all departments, especially our housekeeping team with regards to all required maintenance.
• Get hands on with the day-to-day duties, from lightbulb changes to entire room renovations.
• Work in a manner which avoids obstructions, taking into consideration our guests and noise levels.
• Ensure all workspaces are left clean and tidy with safety notices in place where applicable.
• Compliant handling of tools and equipment, ensuring health and safety measure are met.
• Handle equipment with care, ensuring safe storage of all machinery.
• Interact with guests as/when required.
• Passion and determination to upskill. Always having the willingness to learn.
  
  Previous experience in a similar role is preferred by not essential as full training will be provided. An eagerness to learn new skills is essential. Any qualifications or exposure to following is beneficial: PAT testing, electrics, plumbing, fire safety, carpentry, plant room management, health, and safety. A 'can do' hands on attitude is a must as our hotels are open 365 days a year. We are ideally seeking a candidate who is naturally considerate in their approach to all responsibilities. In addition to having a proactive attitude towards work, taking pride in a job well done.
