Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Facilities Team Leader to join our expanding team based at our Head Office site in Barton-upon-Humber. This full time role follows a Monday to Friday, 4-On-4-Off rota from 6:00 to 16:45, with a salary of £40,000 plus a quarterly bonus of up to £500. Main responsibilities:
- Supervise, train and support the maintenance team, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, lighting).
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and support emergency response efforts.
- Work with external service providers for specialized repairs and upgrades.
- Provide regular updates to management and collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs.
- Monitor maintenance supplies, order parts as needed, and control costs effectively. In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
- Previous Supervisory/Team Lead experience is desired
- Organisational skills and flexibility with production timetables
- Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, fire safety, and general building infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other building systems.
- Ability to perform hands-on repairs or wokin withexternal contractors when needed.
