Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its engineering function? We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment. The Role Reporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) Reactive electrical and mechanical fault finding Diagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipment Working on motors, drives, sensors and control systems PLC fault finding and basic interrogation Supporting continuous improvement projects Maintaining accurate maintenance records Working safely in line with company procedures and engineering standards

    Following an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. About You We're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments. You'll ideally have experience with: Electrical and mechanical fault finding Planned and reactive maintenance Conveyors and automated machinery Three-phase motors and drives Inverters and sensors Pneumatics and hydraulics PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous) Reading electrical and mechanical drawings Qualifications Ideally you'll hold one of the following: NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance City & Guilds Time-served Apprenticeship HNC/HND (desirable) Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.
