Maintenance Engineer

Cranswick Milling operates from our Fridaythorpe Mill, producing and delivering pig feed to our own farms within our parent company Cranswick plc, a progressive FTSE250 Company. An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer. The role is based at the Fridaythorpe Mill working within the Engineering Department to minimize downtime, ensure compliance with legislation and quality standards while optimising plant performance.,

• Ensuring Health and safety of equipment and compliance to HSE legislation
• Complete PPMs and update the CMMS
• Maximise equipment uptime while trouble shooting mechanical and electrical failures
• Included in the on-call rota to support out of hours production
• Suggest and implement improvement ideas to increase site capacity, reliability and quality
• Involvement in capital project development and execution
• Help ensure spare parts and consumables stocks are maintained
• Support the Engineering Manager
  
  Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• Strong mechanical and electrical background
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
• Team player
• You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and able to work independently
  
  Pay and Benefits
• Full time, permanent position - 40 hours per week plus 1 in 3 on call and overtime available
