Full Job Description
- Maximize production line efficiency and ensure timely delivery of PPM schedules for all equipment.
- Perform reactive maintenance and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes, focusing on efficiency and product quality.
- Support the production team in optimizing shift processes and maintaining best practices.
- Coach and train production teams on technical skills, equipment, and processes, and support training plans.
- Identify and implement additional training opportunities to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with audit standards, support the Site Manager and Technical Director with audits, and close corrective actions within deadlines.
- Implement waste reduction processes and improve site efficiency.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Lead by example in Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance; report incidents and ensure full PPE adherence.
- Minimize downtime and maximize output in line with company standards.
- Oversee the creation and execution of engineering and maintenance plans.
- Support the creation of SOPs for the Engineering Department and assist with H&S and Fire Safety management.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering or maintenance role within the FMCG, food, or pharmaceuticals sector. - Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience coordinating teams during production shifts.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of production equipment, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Problem-solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in minimising downtime and resolving technical issues.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with production staff and ensure smooth shift operations.
- Time-management Skills: The ability to manage your own time and lead others to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement Knowledge: Knowledge and application with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Health and Safety: A strong appreciation for health and safety standards, with experience in compliance management and risk assessment.
