Full Job Description
- Carrying out routine inspections of the Home and reporting maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager
- Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow and ice clearance
- Assisting with moving furniture, including tables and hospital beds
- Undertaking additional duties, as required, to support the smooth operation of the Home, as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager
Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services role. - Practical skills to carry out basic repairs, maintenance tasks, and general upkeep.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and well-presented environments.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional approach when interacting with residents, visitors, contractors, and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for reporting maintenance issues and completing records.
- A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team as needed., An Overseas Police Check/ Certificate of Good Conduct may be required if you have lived or worked outside the UK for 12 Months or more, spent a significant period overseas, or worked abroad in a position of trust. This will be in addition to a mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
