Maintenance Assistant

Welcome to Spire London East Hospital! We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment, supporting the smooth running of our facilities. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of the hospital premises. This will involve carrying out a variety of tasks to ensure that our hospital remains safe, secure, and in good working order. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment and systems
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff
• Performing minor repairs and adjustments as required
• Assisting with the installation of new equipment and fixtures
• Ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out to a high standard
  
  This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive and flexible approach. The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritising tasks effectively to meet the needs of the hospital.
In addition to practical maintenance skills, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to liaise with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers, providing updates on maintenance work and coordinating schedules as necessary. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
