Maintenance Assistant

You will oversee all maintenance, gardening, and audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for service users, staff, and visitors. Working with established site teams, you will lead on all maintenance-related tasks for Castleholme Lodge, managing contractors and coordinating the upkeep of the service. You will be the main point of contact for all maintenance aspects at this location. As a Maintenance Assistant you will be: Being the main responsible person for all maintenanc, As a Maintenance Assistant at Castleholme Lodge, Huddersfield, you will be the main responsible person for all maintenance aspects ensuring buildings, facilities, and equipment are maintained and fit for purpose. You will utilize strong DIY and practical skills to maintain the safety and comfort of service users. Your duties will include planning, conducting, and documenting regular safety checks, audits, and maintenance schedules. You will lead on the repair, maintenance, and decorating of all buildings within Castleholme Lodge. You will liaise and report directly to the Manager on all faults, defects, and maintenance plans, and coordinate, supervise, and support all contractors on-site. The role demands proven maintenance experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities, and compliance with health and safety systems. You are expected to work independently and as part of a team, showing courtesy and respect to residents and colleagues, ensuring the highest quality of service.
Training and staff meetings attendance is also required.
