Maintenance Apprentice - Nurseries

Are you ready to kickstart your career as a Mobile Maintenance Technician? Do you have a passion for problem-solving and a proactive attitude? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic apprentice to join our dynamic Facilities Team in the West Yorkshire Area, As a Mobile Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you'll work closely with your Supervising Engineer and the Facilities Team to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance services across our properties. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our nursery environments, building strong working relationships with all nursery staff.
Key Responsibilities:

- Emergency Response: Support in providing first response and make-safe services to any emergencies or unsafe conditions.

- Routine Repairs: Assist in conducting routine repairs alongside your Supervising Engineer.

- Statutory Testing: Undertake and record statutory tests such as weekly fire testing and water services testing.

- Minor Repairs: Perform minor fabric repairs, unblocking wastes, assembling and moving furniture/resources, litter picking, and other tasks as assigned by Facilities Management.

- Preventative Maintenance: Adhere to the planned preventative maintenance program, regularly monitoring internal and external building fabric and M+E systems.

- Team Contribution: Contribute to the development and maintenance of relationships with staff and suppliers.

- Compliance: Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures, including one day per week of college attendance.

Working towards your property maintenance operative, Level: 2 apprenticeship with our national provider, we can start your career in facilities today :) (Funtional skills in Maths and English can be acquired during your apprenticeship)., Organized and Methodical: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
