Mainframe Developer

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in VisionPLUS, COBOL, and CICS to join our banking and financial services technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting VisionPLUS applications while working on mission-critical credit card and payment processing systems. Knowledge of Sysplex is an added advantage.,

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VisionPLUS on IBM Mainframe.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, code, test, and implement Mainframe applications using COBOL and CICS.
• Support production issues, troubleshoot defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Work on VisionPLUS modules related to credit card processing and account management.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in system integration, UAT support, and production deployments.
• Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
  
  Strong experience in IBM Mainframe Technologies
• Hands-on experience with VisionPLUS
• Expertise in COBOL
• Strong experience with CICS
• Experience with JCL
• Knowledge of VSAM, DB2, and Mainframe utilities
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning Mainframe applications
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Good to Have
• Knowledge of Sysplex
• Experience in the Banking, Credit Card, or Financial Services domain
• Exposure to batch processing and online transaction processing
• Experience with Endevor, Changeman, or similar source code management tools
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
