Mainframe (CICS) Programmer / DB2 Administrator

Role: Mainframe (CICS) Programmer/DB2 Administrator Location: UK Project Type: Contract

• Have Experience of installing and/or customizing Mainframe CICS software in Large Data sharing environments.
• Have Experience with CICS plex and CICS Explorer to manage CICS systems
• installing and/or customizing software products Mainframe DB2 and/or data replication product suite
• Establishment of policies and procedures pertaining to database management, Disaster recovery, security, maintenance and utilization
• Analyzing new versions of DB2 for functionality that can improve systems performance and reduce cost
• Perform performance data collection, analysis, and tuning of DB2 systems
• Executes project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned or delegated
• Participate in incident and problem management activities related to application and DB2
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence
• Provide 24x7 on-call support
• Strong experience managing IBM System Automation (IBM SA) and Net-view including monitoring, policy setup, and maintenance
• Experience of REXX coding and Net-View PIPE programming
• Strong proficiency in CLIST programming
• Solid understanding of IPL shutdown/startup sequencing
