Full Job Description
We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurses to work as part of the newly created SWAN Bereavement Service.
The Macmillan SWAN Bereavement Nurses will work:
+ to develop and implement the SWAN Model for End of Life (EoL) and Bereavement Care within BCUHB.
+ to act as a clinical specialist providing information, advice and emotional support to bereaved families.
+ to provide support to ward teams and other staff involved with caring for dying patients and bereaved families.
+ to act as an educational resource for multidisciplinary teams regarding EoL and bereavement care. This will include provision of support and training.
The post holder will be based centrally, working to provide a service across BCUHB.
If you have the relevant qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills, together with a strong desire to improve end of life and bereavement care, then we would love to hear from you.
