Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a Machine Minder to join our Production Team at Pilgrim's Europe in Ashbourne. This is ideal hands-on role for a mechanically skilled individual who performs at their best in fast-paced production environment. As a Machine Minder you will be responsible for the efficient operation, adjustment, and basic maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality. You will work closely with the Operations Team Leader and wider team to deliver key production targets., Set up, adjust and operate machinery to ensure optimal performance and yield
Carry out daily checks, testing, and inspections to maintain high production standards
Change blades and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation
Monitor production lines and quickly identify and resolve issues
Work closely with maintenance teams to report faults and minimise downtime
Complete all required documentation and production records accurately
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency
Deliver against key production KPIs including output, yield, waste and downtime
Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety procedures, using PPE correctly and proactively identifying and reporting hazards
Good level of English
Strong mechanical skills
Interest in maintenance and machinery
Flexible and willing to learn
Positive attitude and good team player
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (FMCG experience desirable)
Earn Big: Competitive hourly rate, with the potential to earn over £640 (gross) per week!
Balanced shift pattern: We have a shift pattern of 16.15am - 1.15am, Monday to Friday, giving you more time for yourself.
