Full Job Description

The Great Western Hospital Lung Oncology team are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic nurse with passion for supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis.

The successful applicant will be working as an integral part of the CNS and wider Respiratory and Oncology team, involved in all aspects of the patients pathway from diagnosis and treatment, through to follow up and supporting patients living with a Lung cancer diagnosis.

The Lung Cancer CNS team delivers a proactive and responsive service, coordinating the lung cancer pathway from pre-diagnosis, through treatment, and into palliative and end-of-life care. The post holder will act as a key worker for patients, providing expert clinical, psychological, and supportive care, while contributing to service improvement, clinical governance, and quality assurance in line with national guidance.
