Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to play a key role in supporting our Lung Cancer Screening programme. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in early cancer detection and patient outcomes.

As a Patient Administrator, you will play a central role within the Lung Cancer Screening Programme, acting as the first point of contact for patients and supporting them through the screening pathway.

The role involves carrying out Telephone Lung Health Checks (TLHCs), helping patients understand the screening process, gathering relevant clinical information, and supporting timely progression through the pathway. You will work closely with the wider screening team to ensure patients receive clear information, timely appointments, and a positive experience throughout., The Lung Cancer Screening (LCS) Pathway Senior Administrator plays a key role in supporting delivery of a complex, nationally mandated screening programme, requiring detailed knowledge of the LCS pathway, national data standards, and quality assurance requirements. The post holder will work within a team to support and coordinate participant pathways, support clinical decision-making processes through accurate data management, and ensure compliance with national timelines, performance indicators, and audit requirements.

The post holder will be expected to work to agreed programme targets and productivity measures that support delivery of the Lung Cancer Screening programme and achievement of national trajectory requirements. This includes managing a defined level of daily participant contact activity, such as telephone outreach for Targeted Lung Health Checks, and contributing to service reach, uptake, and timely pathway progression. Productivity expectations will be monitored through routine performance review and adjusted in line with service need, pathway complexity, and participant requirements.
