Full Job Description

The Headteacher and Governors are looking to appoint an excellent, dedicated, and enthusiastic lunchtime welfare assistant who is committed to making a difference for our children and supportive of our Christian ethos. The successful candidate should be a warm, friendly and caring candidate to join our team of welfare assistants. The successful candidate will join our team who supervise the children during the lunch hour. They will be responsible for all aspects of supervision, promoting good table manners, ensuring the safety of the children, promoting good behaviour both indoors and outdoors over the lunchtime period and help make our lunchtimes a safe and happy experience for our pupils. They should be able to relate well and communicate with children and recognise the importance and value of each member of the school family. If qualified, they will be required to administer first aid and log any incidents. They must be committed to undertake in-service training and development where appropriate. The welfare assistant will be required from 12 noon till 1:15 p.m. each day, and training will be provided in-house. We can offer a happy school with lively and enthusiastic children, in a superb semi-rural setting. This Post is for a 12 month contract. The post is subject to successful enhanced DBS disclosure.
