Full Job Description
As a Lunchtime Learning Lead, you will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for pupils during the lunchtime period. This position involves supporting children's physical, emotional, and social development through structured play and learning activities, while promoting independence and positive behaviour. You will assist with personal care needs, encourage communication and interaction, and ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times. Working closely with teaching staff and colleagues, you'll help make lunchtime a positive and enriching part of the school day.,
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for pupils during lunchtime.
- Assist pupils with feeding and personal care needs in a safe and dignified manner.
- Set up and supervise stimulating play and learning activities that promote social skills and physical development.
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and inclusion.
- Monitor pupil well-being and respond promptly to any concerns.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained, including safeguarding protocols.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Report incidents, accidents, or hazards promptly and maintain accurate records.
Are compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting children with diverse needs. - Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can promote inclusion and positive behaviour in a supportive manner.
- Are proactive and able to set up engaging activities for pupils.
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and health & safety.
- Are flexible and willing to assist with personal care needs.
- Have a positive attitude and enthusiasm for making lunchtime a valuable part of the school day., This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement of the role.
