Full Job Description
- Assisting with personal care, hygiene and mealtime routines.
- Engaging pupils in social play and activities to promote interaction and independence.
- Preparing and tidying lunch areas, and supporting pupils' dietary and sensory needs.
- Supporting mobility needs using appropriate handling techniques.
- Supporting pupils with activities and learning taking place during your working hours.
- Being an advocate for the children and young people, respecting their individuality and promoting their confidence. With your help, pupils will feel safe, valued and supported throughout this important part of their school day.
- Compassionate, proactive and great at building relationships.
- A team player with a basic understanding of technology.
- Comfortable with the hands-on nature of the role, including personal care.
- Willing to learn and grow, with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people. Previous experience in an SEN setting or working with children and young people is an advantage, but not essential.

Join our Education team at Chailey Heritage Foundation as a (Lunchtime) Education Assistant, where every day brings an opportunity to make a difference. Your role will have a particular focus on supporting children and young people with complex physical disabilities and health needs over the lunchtime period - including mealtimes, personal care, social activities and supporting pupils to take part in whatever is happening during your working hours.
