Low Income Family Tracker Project Support Officer

We are delighted to be able to offer a new and exciting role that will form part of the Resident Support Team.

The position of LIFT Project Support Officer is funded by the UK Government's Crisis and Resilience Fund, and the programme will be delivered in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council.

As the LIFT Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for using data to help identify residents who are eligible for benefits that they may not be in receipt of.

You will oversee the use of the Low-Income Family Tracker (LIFT) system that will have access to a variety of District Council datasets to enable us to help residents who are experiencing financial hardship.

Alongside this, you will be responsible for raising awareness of the system both internally and externally, as well as planning and implementing an ongoing communications plan so that partners as well as residents are aware of the help that is available.

About the role

The role will form part of the Resident Support Team who collectively will help support some of our most vulnerable and hard-to-reach residents. By utilising LIFT platforms, you can proactively connect low-income households with unclaimed benefits, council tax support, and other financial hardship resources before they reach a crisis.

You will pull and analyse data using LIFT (developed by Policy in Practice) to filter households hardest hit by the cost of living and identify missing support. Design tailored SMS, email, or letter campaigns to inform eligible residents about available support for energy bills, free school meals, or welfare benefits.

As the expert in the available data sources, you will share this information and knowledge with the Resident Support Officers who will help residents navigate applications, budget their finances, and access emergency relief alongside enabling them to move to a more resilient position.

You will track the financial gains for residents and measure the broader impact of anti-poverty interventions alongside completing performance measures and data returns as required by the funding arrangements.

A team player who is also confident working on their own initiative, you will demonstrate the ability to think differently and explore what opportunities may be available with the intention of achieving better outcomes.

Recognising that maximising income through benefit entitlement is only the start, as the Project Officer you will understand and champion the importance of employment, education and training and the long-term intention for individuals and families to move to a position of resilience.

Passionate about data and how it is interpreted, you will want to learn and understand new systems and how they can be used to the benefit of our residents. An enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated individual who has a willingness and the ability to work from the office or on district as specified by the Team Leader.
