Full Job Description
Assess and allocate work requests from stakeholders in the transport manage software, ensuring an efficient distribution.
- Efficient planning and organising of work requests to ensure work is carried safely, on time and in the most cost-effective way.
- Maintain fleet schedules, including overseeing and maintaining accurate fleet schedules, optimising working hours for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Monitor driver activities throughout the shift to ensure a smooth flow of operations and address any issues promptly.
- Resolve customer and driver queries relating to work requests where relevant.
- Ensure all required transport data and management information is prepared, maintained, and updated in accordance with the requirements of the company's transport management software.
- Provide exemplary customer service in all communications, fostering positive relationships with internal and external clients.
- Oversee established paper and computer-based filing systems to facilitate easy retrieval of essential documents.
- Manage financial duties, including processing invoices and tracking costs, to contribute to budgetary control.
- Collaborate with the SHES department to establish and promote bast practices in health, safety and environmental matters.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements and maintain safety standards.
- Promptly report Health & Safety incidents following the Group's expectation (2-1-2) for comprehensive reporting.
- Uphold company standards of Quality in accordance with Quality System requirements.
Must have experience of HGV transport planning including abnormal loads.
- Experience within the construction industry with knowledge of construction plant and equipment.
- Ideally with experience of asset management software, route planning software, driver tachograph software
- Microsoft SharePoint and/or fleet telematics
