Full Job Description

  • Plan and coordinate delivery of materials, plant, and equipment in line with project schedules
  • Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and transport providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels on-site and in storage to prevent shortages or delays
  • Organise transport routes and delivery schedules to support site operations and minimise disruption
  • Collaborate with site managers and project teams to meet programme requirements and resolve logistics issues
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with health & safety regulations and site rules
  • Manage delays, shortages, and delivery issues quickly to avoid impact on construction timelines
  • Track logistics costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and logistics activities

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • SSSTS
  • Traffic Marshall
  • Desirable
  • A qualification in Building Services, Construction Management, or a recognised mechanical trade background.
  • SMSTS
  • | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential
  • 5 + years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of dealing with multiple sub-contractors as part of complex, multi-disciplinary building projects

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands.
  • Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to lead and develop those within the team
  • Be able to undertake a continuous review of procedures to achieve and maintain best practice.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels, both in written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to deliver high quality and practical solutions
  • To be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
  • Must be very 'hands on' with can do attitude
