Full Job Description
- Assess, investigate, and manage patients admitted under General Medicine
- Participate in ward rounds, patient reviews, and discharge planning
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions under consultant supervision
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Liaise with nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, and senior clinicians
- Ensure compliance with NHS clinical governance and patient safety standards Specialties Covered The post may involve working across one or more of the following specialties:
- Acute Medicine
- General Internal Medicine
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Locum SHO in General Medicine to join a busy NHS Trust. The successful candidate will support the medical team in providing high-quality patient care across a range of acute and general medical services. This is an excellent opportunity for doctors with previous NHS experience who are available to start immediately. Essential Requirements - Must hold a valid GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is essential
- Must have previous NHS experience
- Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK
- Available to start ASAP
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, Acute patient assessment and management
- Recognition and escalation of deteriorating patients
- Clinical decision-making and prioritisation
- Effective communication and handover skills
- Time management and organisational skills
