Full Job Description

The expected overall job plan is for 8 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) PAs and 2 Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) PAs.

The position will involve general paediatric radiology sessions at Great Ormond Street including reporting (plain film, CT, MRI and external imaging), ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MDT attendance and supervision of complex CT and MRI examinations

There is a system of internal cover which operates in the department and the internal cover sessions will involve the same modalities as the other designated DCC sessions (see Appendix 1 for specimen job plan).

The appointee is required to participate in a non-resident on call rota (currently 1:10) with the other general radiologists. On call covers general radiology emergencies only, with separate on call cover provided by interventional radiology and neuroradiology. 0.5PA (DCC) is included in the job plan for time dealing with emergencies on call. First on call will be provided by an off-site SpR / Trust Fellow.

The appointee will be expected to support education and training within the department working alongside the training programme director, Dr Marina Easty.
