Locum Consultant Plastic Surgery WSI in Burns

We are seeking a Locum Consultant to deliver a specialist clinical service in General Plastic Surgery and Burns at the renowned St Andrew's Centre, Broomfield Hospital, with responsibilities across associated satellite sites. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-quality, patient-centred service within a leading specialist centre. You will play an active role in advancing clinical care through research, leading and participating in projects that aim to improve patient outcomes. Collaboration with local and national university partners, alongside colleagues within the St Andrew's clinical community, will be central to this work. • Take overall responsibility for the clinical care of patients within the Plastic Surgery Service, including associated administrative duties, accurate record keeping and effective communication with patients and General Practitioners.
• Provide clinical leadership within the service, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support integrated and effective patient management.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours consultant cover, including cross-cover during colleagues' annual and study leave.
• Undertake regular ward rounds to review patient progress and ensure safe, effective and timely care.
• Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing continuing professional development activities.
• Supervise, teach and support the training and professional development of junior medical staff, nurses and medical students.
• Maintain high standards of care and professional practice, ensuring accountability to the Medical Director, Chief Executive and Trust Board.
