Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon

The Directorate of Plastic and Breast Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Whole-time Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon for a fixed term period of 12 months., The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive plastic surgery service. The post holder will have specific responsibility for the delivery of general plastic surgery, reflecting the current and anticipated demand within the service. Applicants should therefore be able to demonstrate appropriate experience, skills and interest in managing a broad range of plastic surgery patients.

The postholder will undertake outpatient clinics, MOPs lists and theatre sessions, providing care for general plastic surgery patients. This will include the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a broad range of general plastic surgical conditions, including skin cancer, with the expectation that the postholder will contribute flexibly to the areas of greatest service demand.
