Full Job Description
The paediatric haematology service provides multi-disciplinary care to children with non-malignant haematology conditions including haemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders and general non-malignant haematology (including bone marrow failure syndromes and immunohaematology).
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our paediatric haematology service to help further drive developments in our service and to complement the current team members. The paediatric haematology service provides multi-disciplinary care to children with non-malignant haematology conditions including haemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders and general non-malignant haematology (including bone marrow failure syndromes and immunohaematology).
The paediatric haematology team currently run 5 non-malignant haematology clinics per week including subspecialty clinics in haemoglobinopathy and haemostasis along with a number of joint clinics with other specialities. The team also supports PICU, NICU, general paediatrics, foetal medicine, paediatric oncology and infectious diseases with an extensive consult service. It provides a tertiary advice service to surrounding hospitals in the South West Thames region.
The aim will be to develop further services within the local community and develop services with our regional DGH partners. The service is also keen to develop its research profile.
