Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Trust as a Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist covering Hepatocellular, Hepatobiliary cancer and Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP).

The post-holder will work alongside medical and clinical oncology colleagues at the Royal Free, units and will be essential for service provision and continued development of the trials portfolio., The post-holder will join the oncology team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) as an 8PAlocum consultant in hepatocellular (HCC), hepatobiliary (HPB) and cancer of unknown primary (CUP) cancer.

The post will be working at The Royal Free health unit. The successful candidate will join an existing multi-disciplinary and will support the delivery of systemic therapy and continued development of the trials portfolio.

The HCC service is supported 2 medical oncologists Dr Alexa Childs and Dr Robert Goldstein, medical oncology SpR, a Senior Clinical Research Fellow and HCC CNSs. Hepatobiliary and CUP medical oncology clinics are supported by 2 medical oncologists, Dr Roopinder Gillmore and Dr Robert Goldstein, medical oncology SpR, non-medical prescriber and CNS support.

There is an active HCC and HPB clinical trial portfolio participating in early and late phase clinical studies. The post will also cover and lead the Royal Free Cancer of Unknown Primary service.

A reduced timetable would need to be requested prior to appointment for consideration by the Clinical Service Line Lead but the Trust supports opportunities around flexible working.

The successful candidate should have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team; have a wide experience in Medical Oncology but in particular in hepatocellular, hepatobiliary cancer and CUP management.
