Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint to a whole-time (10 PA) Locum Consultant in Spinal Injuries to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust based at the Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Centre, Northern General Hospital. This is a fixed term post for 12 months., The appointee will be responsible for the provision of acute management and long-term follow-up of patients admitted to the Centre. He/She will share equitable responsibilities with his professional colleagues and will actively contribute to the governance arrangements of the Department.

The appointee will be expected to conduct multi-disciplinary ward rounds, goal planning, theatres and outpatient clinics. He/she will be expected to participate in research and teaching as well as participating in a 1 in 6 on-call rota.

The successful candidate will work according to the terms and conditions of the national consultant contract.
