Locum Consultant in Radiology (Breast Imaging)

The advertised post is for a full-time fixed term Consultant Radiologist with a sub-speciality interest in Breast Imaging at Newham University Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust for 12 months to cover colleague's 1 year sabbatical leave., Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in their charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care.

Leadership, development, and organisation of the services in their charge in line with the Trust's business plans. Liaison and communication with Imaging leadership team.

Active participation in quality improvement and audit programmes. Audit and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the department, and indeed by NUH and the whole of Barts Health.

Provision of teaching and training for staffwithin the department and the wider imaging network.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our existing radiology team. The post will be based at Newham University Hospital. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology skills, including emergency imaging and have extensive experience in cross sectional imaging, ultrasound and plain film reporting. The successful applicant will join our dedicated team of 16 consultants and 7 specialty radiologists who currently support general imaging services at Newham University Hospital (NUH).
