Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine

As a key member of the multi professional team you will work as part of the innovative 'ConnectedPalliativecare' servicewhich providesspecialist palliative care, 24/7 rapid response home care for dying patients and a dedicated central coordination hub which manages our end-of-life care register.

The post will be between Oldbury Council House & Midland Metropolitan Hospital, and the post holder will be required to work at any of the Trust's inpatient sites and carry out domiciliary visits., The post holder will work alongside the established consultant team to:

1. Provide specialist palliative care medical care to people in our hospitals and community footprint.

2. Take a leadership role in the Palliative and End of Life Care Quality Improvement Program building on established work with acute and community specialities to deliver and further improve specialist palliative and end of life care patient and carer experience across all disease pathways.

3. Support as needed selected cancer & non-cancer MDT's & board rounds.

4. Be supported to develop subspecialist interests if aligned to the service strategy.

Deliver & design education and training as needed.
