Full Job Description
- The appointee will work within the haemato-oncology, stem cell transplant, CAR-T and gene therapy service at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
- The appointee will participate in the on-call rota for haemato-oncology
- The appointee will undertake laboratory duties in line with his/her clinical interests.
- The appointee will be expected to undertake both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, both inside and outside the Trust.
- The appointee will be expected to actively participate in clinical trials programme in transplantation, cellular and gene therapies
- The consultant will be expected to provide consultant cross-cover for annual/study leave and short-term sickness for other consultants in the department on a rotational basis., This post has arisen as the department continues to expand, with the ever-increasing number of stem cell transplant indications, the extension of cellular (CAR-T) therapies to new products and the developments of gene therapies., The post holder will work as part of the haemato-oncology and stem cell transplant / cellular and gene therapy teams and is to start as soon as possible. The post holder will work closely with the other members of the attending and on-call consultant teams (Dr Jane Norman, Dr Lourdes Rubio, Dr Eleni Tholouli, Dr Fiona Dignan, Dr Phillip Crea, Dr Jenna Fielding, Dr Johnathon Elliott, Dr Farhan Anjum)
