obstetrics and gynaecology.Maintain professional competence through Continuing Professional Development, participate in appraisal processes, comply with information governance requirements and adhere to Trust policies and professional standards.Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, primary care partners and external agencies to support integrated care and promote open communication across services.The post holder will primarily be based at the University Hospital. The job plan will be based on 10 programmed activities and will include fixed sessions incorporating labour ward duties, obstetric on call, antenatal clinics, and fetal medicine sessions. Scheduling of clinical sessions may change as part of job planning, and the job description will be revisited with the Clinical Director and Group Manager when the successful candidate has been in post for three months.Actively participate in the clinical governance systems that are in place and be involved in the administration and

management functions of the hospital.QualificationsFull GMC registrationMRCOG or appropriate specialist qualificationRCOG accredited sub-specialist in fetal maternal medicineRCOG ATSM High Risk PregnancyFurther Higher DegreeCCT in obstetrics or equivalent (equivalence confirmed by GMC by date of interview)Entry to the GMC Specialist Registrar or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the AACExperienceClinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCTExperience in maternal and fetal medicineExperience of undergraduate teachingExperience of supervising junior medical staff in intrapartum careQualification in medical educationKnowledgeUnderstanding of the clinical governance processPublication in peer-reviewed journalsExperience in risk managementSkillsAbility to undertake multi-disciplinary auditDemonstrate ability to undertake audit projects in specialty areaIT literacy and presentation skillsCommitment to
