Locum Consultant in Endoscopy

Our Endoscopy Unit hosts BCSP lists, VCE, and has contributed to validation work for Colon Capsule, Cytosponge, and is currently trialing Hemopill. We also have a dedicated clinical trials facility.

About the Role

The post holder will take a lead role in delivering outpatient and inpatient endoscopy, contributing:

5 diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy sessions per week

1 outpatient clinic, with associated triage, Advice & Refer, and administrative duties

Participation in departmental meetings, MDTs, audit, and service improvement is expected and encouraged. Where possible, we will seek to accommodate individual areas of specialist interest to ensure a rewarding and professionally satisfying year at Whipps Cross.
