Full Job Description
The advertised post is for a 12 month Fixed Term Locum Consultant Cross Sectional Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Musculoskeletal Radiology at Barts Health NHS Trust.
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing team of 86 radiologists based at The Royal London and St Bartholomew's Hospitals who support the existing service and the active training programme. The post will be based at St Bartholomew's Hospital with rotation to the Royal London as required.
This new post is required to support the development of the Soft tissue Sarcoma Service.
The successful applicant should have completed training in diagnostic radiology and be within 6 months of their CCST. They should have a specialist interest in musculoskeletal radiology, ideally with MSK fellowship. Duties will encompass coverage of Sarcoma MDT; MSK reporting and General/Oncology MSK reporting including Whole body MRI for myeloma.
Main duties of the job
Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge, including alladministrative duties associated with patient care.
Helping in development and organisation of the services in his / her charge in line withthe Trusts' business plans. Liaison and communication with the Divisional Manager and Clinical Director for Imaging at Barts Health NHS Trust will be expected.
Development of their own interests and specialties within the Imaging service,including active participation in audit programs.
Corporate and individual responsibility for the professional management of doctors in training.
