Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia

This is a job advertisement for a Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia. The job has arisen due to recent expansion of services., There is a dedicated medical emergency team which includes the medical and anaesthetic registrar and whose responsibility is to review deteriorating patients on the wards. A Hospital at Night team is in operation in the hospital. Marthas Law is being rolled out across the trust as part of NHS Englands Patient Safety programme for 2024/2025.

A monthly M+M is run by the critical care department where all patient mortality cases are reviewed. There is a weekly MDT meeting where complexes cases are discussed by the whole team.

There are exciting plans within the Division to build a new, 15 bedded state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit within the next two years, to respond to the raising demand of our local community.
