Locum Consultant General Surgeon

Wye Valley NHS Trust wishes to appoint a Locum Consultant General Surgeonwho will provide a Consultant Surgeon service for the management of General Surgical diseases including laparoscopic cholecystectomies and hernias, as required for outpatient, inpatient and day-cases. This post is based at the County Hospital, Hereford., The postholder will be required to:

• Provide a Consultant Surgeon service for the management of general surgical diseases, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies and hernias, as required for outpatient, inpatient and day-cases at the WVT.
• Participate in multidisciplinary audit meetings.
• Be actively involved in postgraduate training / teaching especially for the SpRs in the department.
• Participate in departmental audit and clinical governance activity.
• Work with the management team to meet the organisation's waiting time targets for all patients.
