Locum Consultant - Anaesthetist

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated consultant to join our department. This will be a 4 month contract for sabbatical cover. The successful candidate will cover general theatre lists as well as Labour ward and burns theatre. The candidate will participate in the on-call rota for Obstetric and General Anaesthetics approx. 1:16 band A (low frequency), once fully orientated to the department. The on call rota activity is remunerated at 1PA., This is a full time post of 10PA, divided into 8.5PA direct clinical care (DCC) and 1.5PA supporting professional activities (SPA). Theatre sessions are typically delivered flexibly across the weekdays, although the department may be able to accommodate some requests with regards to a fixed element to the work pattern. Some Theatre sessions may be delivered on weekends.
