Full Job Description
The Somerset Coastal Place Partnership is a long-term, community-led investment focused on improving health, wellbeing and reducing inequalities across Somerset's coastal communities, from Porlock to Burnham-on-Sea, including Bridgwater.
Led by Somerset Activity & Sport Partnership (SASP) and funded through Sport England's Place Expansion programme, the partnership brings together organisations from health, local government, education, the voluntary sector and local communities to create the conditions that enable people to lead more active, healthier lives.
Spark Somerset is supporting this initiative by working with Locally Trusted Organisations (LTOs) - groups with shared values that are deeply embedded and trusted within their communities - ensuring that place-based activity is deeply rooted in lived experience, and responsive to the priorities of each coastal community.
We are looking for a Locally Trusted Organisations Manager to operationally manage the work with LTOs across the Partnership, and act as the connector between community voice, local action and system partners. The Manager will ensure that system change is real, relational, and sustainable beyond programme funding.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of working in place-based, community-led or systems-change programmes, as well as building and maintaining trusted relationships with diverse communities. They will be passionate about the role of physical activity and movement in improving health and wellbeing, and be able to bridge community experience and system-level thinking.
In return, we offer flexible and remote working options, a free Employee Assistance Programme, and up to 7.5 hours of volunteering leave per year.
