Full Job Description

Working within one of the UK's leading tertiary haematology centres, you will gain exposure to malignant and non-malignant haematology, stem cell transplantation, cellular therapies, haemostasis and thrombosis, haemoglobinopathies, lymphoma, myeloma and general haematology. You will work alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team and benefit from excellent training, teaching and research opportunities., The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to haematology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.,

  • Managing patients within inpatient wards, day units and outpatient clinics.
  • Participating in specialist haematology services including transplantation, myeloma, lymphoma, haemostasis and thrombosis, haemoglobinopathy and general haematology.
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings and departmental educational activities.
  • Developing procedural and diagnostic skills, including opportunities to participate in bone marrow harvest procedures and laboratory-based learning.
  • Supporting clinical audit, quality improvement and governance activities.
  • Teaching and supporting undergraduate medical students and junior doctors.
  • Participating in the middle-grade on-call rota, including evenings, nights and weekends.

  • Medical Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years' full time (or equivalent part time) hospital service in the ST1-2 grade or higher
  • Experience in General Haematology, Experience in Malignant Haematology
