Full Job Description

  • Please note we have specified valid ALS, ATLS and EPALS (or equivalent) certifications as Essential Criteria in the Person Specification for this position. If you do not confirm you hold all three life support courses on your application, it will unfortunately be rejected
    • The successful candidate will contribute to emergency care across the Emergency Care Group and will work as a part of the Emergency Department team with a full shift rota. There is an expectation to contribute to the middle tier rota at either DRI or Bassetlaw Hospital. Post holder to be able to lead the team overnight so requires strong experience in a busy ED and leadership skills. There is consultant presence in both units 7 days of the week, with 12-18-hour on-site cover and then on-call cover.Main duties of the job Managing a whole spectrum of emergency patients Assistance and supervision of the F1, F2 and GP VTS doctors with the management of patients. Strengthening the delivery of a, high quality, General and Emergency Medicine service across the hospital and community. Developing further links between Emergency medicine and medicine Developing innovative practices in clinical patient management, focusing on high quality care.
