Full Job Description

You will work 37 hours per week on a rota basis to cover early mornings, some weekends, and bank holidays. The opportunity to work overtime is available.

    £25,185 - £25,583 Full time NEW Are you ready to help keep our community clean and green? You'll be on the move daily, making sure waste and recycling get collected, sorted, and properly managed. What Will You Do?
  • be part of a friendly team, picking up household, business, and other types of waste and recycling from different spots
  • help sort out recycling materials; it's like helping the planet bit by bit
  • talk to people in a nice and professional way. If they have questions or something's bothering them, you're there to help sort it out
  • stay safe, and keep others safe too. We follow health and safety rules very seriously, and you'll also help our drivers make sure the vehicle is moved safely, Training and development opportunities, particularly if you'd like to progress to being trained as an HGV driver
  • Generous holiday entitlement: 27 days of holiday each year plus bank holidays, rising to 32 days after 5 years' service, with the option to buy additional leave

  • The postholder will be responsible for the PPE as supplied and will assist with the routine checks and cleaning of vehicles. This is an outdoor-based role. Exposure to all weather conditions, traffic conditions, and hazards connected to exposure to dirt, dust, and noise. The post requires a lot of walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
