Full Job Description

As an Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) Technician, you will build, configure, and maintain Anduril UK's advanced UAS fleet. The role requires expert-level technical proficiency in hardware integration and flight controllers (Pixhawk/Cube Orange), ideally with flight-test experience. Your expertise in system architectures, hardware integration, and troubleshooting will directly impact the development and deployment of cutting-edge defense technology.,

  • Lead the physical integration, setup, and configuration of UAS platforms, including flight controllers (Pixhawk and Cube Orange), GPS modules, telemetry, and payload systems.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert on flight controller configuration, calibration, firmware management, and parameter tuning using ground control station software.
  • Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight diagnostics; perform field maintenance, hardware modifications, and fault rectification to maintain operational readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, flight test, and project teams to provide technical feedback on UAS performance, integrate new technologies, and help develop safe systems of work.
  • Maintain technical records, maintenance logs, and configuration control documentation.
  • Opportunities will arise to achieve and maintain UAS flight qualifications as needed.

    Expert-level proficiency with Pixhawk and Cube Orange Flight Controllers, including hands-on integration, setup, configuration, advanced troubleshooting, and custom parameter tuning.
  • Proven experience in aviation maintenance, electronics, robotics, or a related technical field with a deep understanding of UAS system architectures and flight dynamics.
  • Practical hands-on skills in electronics, soldering, battery management, and integration of complex components.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to support field integration and flight test operations.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a UK Security Check (SC) clearance or higher., Experience or exposure to flight-testing environments, including operating within UK Civil or Military UAS regulatory regimes.
  • Experience integrating and testing UAS designed for challenging environments.
  • Valid UK CAA General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) or A2 Certificate of Competency (CofC) with demonstrated competence in planning and executing UAS flight operations.
