Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, creative and proactive Living Well Therapy Assistant to join the Living Well team at Sobell House. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the other members of our multidisciplinary team, to provide creative activity, rehabilitation and a range of wellbeing focused support to patients and their carers attending the Living Well service., 2. To plan, organise and facilitate a range of creative activities and craft projects within Living Well Service unit enhancing the patients and carers experience. 3. To ensure that specialist skills, creativity and experience are used to encourage patients and carers to find and express their own creativity. 4. To assist the Living Well team with a range of duties relating to patient care and service delivery. 5. To work alongside the MDT in providing assessment, intervention and rehabilitation to patients attending the Living Well Service. 6. To contribute to the development of Living well Service. 7. To maintain stock of creative activity materials and therapy equipment.
We're looking for a creative individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player committed to collaborative working with patients and colleagues. You will help the team to deliver patient centred care, focusing on improving mental and physical well-being. You will plan and organise a range of creative activities and craft projects and contribute to the development of the Living Well service.,
- Proven educational standard to GCSE in English and Math's (or the equivalent)
- To have (or be working towards) NVQ 3 or equivalent training
- Experience of working, within a Health or Community services setting, with adults with a range of illnesses or disabilities, Experience of the adult client group
- Some understanding of Health and Community Services
- Ability to work with patients at end of life.
- Appropriate enthusiasm for engaging patients in creative activities and rehabilitation.
