Full Job Description
As a Live-in Carer, you'll provide dedicated one-to-one support to a client within their own home, offering consistent, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and reassurance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-quality personal care and practical support in line with individual care plans
Prompting or administering medication safely and appropriately
Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
Providing companionship, emotional support and reassurance throughout the day
Supporting clients with daily routines and encouraging independence wherever possible
Assisting with household tasks related to the client's care and wellbeing
Maintaining clear communication with the care team and reporting any changes or concerns

Previous experience in care is essential for live-in roles, as you will be supporting individuals independently within their own homes. This experience does not need to be in a live-in setting, but applicants should have at least six months' experience working within a social care environment. Full training and ongoing support will still be provided. What matters most is your willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to supporting people to live safely, confidently and independently.
