Full Job Description
Due to carer retiring after 12 years, there is an opportunity for a carer to support a kind lady living in adapted accommodation in the centre of Preston, with complex health and mobility conditions.
The main duties will include personal care including dressing, showering and support with toileting. A track hoist is available and full training will be given.
Other duties include daily living support to include shopping, meal preparation, laundry and cleaning plus support with managing medication.
There will be occasions when the carer is needed as a companion and offer support when attending appointments, patient transport or wheelchair adapted taxis will be available on these occasions.
We are looking for a carer with a mature attitude and a caring and compassionate nature. Good communication and reliability is essential in this role.
Hours will be 9am - 2pm Monday - Friday with some flexibility by negotiation. There may be on occasion the opportunity for extra hours and rate of pay will be £12.21 p.p.h
