Full Job Description

We're looking for a Lifesaving Equipment and Systems Integration Manager to join our Lifesaving Service Delivery Team. The postholder will support the RNLI through ensuring that lifesaving equipment, systems, and technical support are effectively delivered, maintained, and continuously improved., As a Lifesaving Equipment and Systems Integration Manager, you will act as the primary interface between Lifesaving Operations and Engineering & Supply (ISS), ensuring technical issues from the frontline are effectively prioritised, escalated, and resolved. You will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Manage technical escalations from the frontline. Act as the central point for surfacing, coordinating, and progressing technical issues from stations and regions, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution with ISS and Engineering teams.
  • Support transition from trials into service. Work with the Trials and Evaluation Manager to ensure outputs from trials are effectively implemented, embedded, and supported within operational systems.
  • Enable effective implementation of change and modifications. Ensure changes, upgrades, and modifications are introduced smoothly into service, with clear communication, support, and follow-up.
  • Work with Procurement on new demands and requirements. Support the development of new technical requirements, ensuring operational needs are clearly articulated and understood.
  • Manage obsolescence and lifecycle risks Work with Engineering and Procurement to identify and manage obsolescence, ensuring continuity of capability and forward planning.

    You'll be someone who is solutions-focused and thrives on resolving problems, with the ability to build strong relationships across operational and technical teams, acting as a trusted connector between the frontline and support functions., City and Guilds or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering, Engineering Council Incorporated Engineer Level.
  • Experience in a technical, engineering, or operational support role within a complex or safety-critical environment.
  • Strong understanding of in-service equipment support, maintenance, and lifecycle management, including how issues are identified, escalated, and resolved.
  • Proven ability to work across organisational boundaries, particularly with Engineering, Supply Chain, and operational teams, translating frontline challenges into clear actions and priorities.
  • Experience of managing risk, supporting change implementation, and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Confident communicator able to coordinate stakeholders and maintain oversight of multiple issues and workstreams.
