Reporting to the Licensing Team Leader, this role will involve the administration and enforcement of a wide range of licensing legislation, primarily the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and the licensing of hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators. Your role will involve:

• dealing with licence applications.
• conducting compliance checks and inspections.
• carrying out operations to enforce the legislation as required, including outside of normal office hours.
• investigating alleged offences under the legislation up to and including preparing prosecution reports and giving evidence in court.
• preparing and presenting reports at licensing hearings.
  
  Sound knowledge and experience of administering, and issuing licences falling within the remit of the team.
• Experience of enforcing the full range of licensing legislation.
• Sound inspection, investigation and research skills.
• Experience and ability to take enforcement and legal action, including preparation of evidence and prosecution reports.
• The ability to relate to and communicate effectively with people at all levels and in a variety of media, forums and situations, including the ability to deal with conflict situations.

This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £32,962 to £36,791 per annum.,
