Licensed Aircraft Engineer

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards. Day-to-day, you will:

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements
• Certify work completed in accordance with Part 145 or equivalent approvals
• Diagnose faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
• Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately and in compliance with standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and performance.
This is a full-time role based on site at RAF Cosford. Shift patterns for this role are 40 hours per week including weekends. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be required.


• Demonstrating experience working in a regulated aviation maintenance environment
• Applying strong knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
• Holding relevant type ratings or experience across similar aircraft platforms
• Working effectively within a team while maintaining high attention to detail
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met.
Qualifications for the Licensed Aircraft Engineer:
• EASA Part 66 License (or UK CAA equivalent) - essential
• Type rating(s) on relevant aircraft (desirable)
• Human Factors and EWIS training (desirable)
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain (BPSS) Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
