Full Job Description

Whitchurch Library has a vacancy for a Library Assistant to work as part of a teamdelivering library services in Whitchurch. The main duties of the post will be to assistcolleagues and form part of a team, to operate the Library efficiently, providing a positiveexperience to all customers and ensuring a safe and welcoming community space.The role also offers exciting opportunities to do things differently and to work in newways, due to a recent relocation of the library. General library procedures will be carriedout as well as helping customers with enquiries and assisting the team with events andoutreach.The hours are required to be worked across Mondays/Thursdays/Saturdays. Additionalhours may be available from time to time.

The post holder will need a flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, beconfident in using computers and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for libraries.
