Full Job Description
Shropshire Libraries have a vacancy for a Library Manager to work as part of the teamdelivering library services in Wem. The Library Manager is responsible for all aspects ofrunning the library, leading a small team who have worked hard to develop the role ofthe library within the community.The role includes management of staff and volunteers, premises management andassociated health and safety responsibilities, and working with community partners toensure that the library remains a central focus of the town.
The post holder will need a flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities, with theability to juggle priorities as needed on a day-to-day basis.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, beconfident in using computers and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for libraries.A desire to work with the potential of new opportunities will also be essential.The hours are required to be worked across Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays andalternate Saturdays.
